Trucks will be different on the tank arrangement. But typical dual tanks will have a crossover line, and may have a shut off valve on it. If not, line needs to be removed and plugged on both ends. Then you have a suction tube and a return line . Return and suction needs to go into the remaining tank, and the two hoses to the bad tank plugged. A simple way to plug the lines is to remove, and slip a bolt in the end, and use hose clamp to hold it in place.
