Customer Question

Hello sir, o have a 2002 6nz cat. I am restoring my pete. We open the manifold to paint the motor and find out front to holes wet. The engine has a(###) ###-####m on after rebuild by cat dealer. So is this is a time to rebuild or I can putt the manifold back and run 2 years and then rebuild. What is your opinion? Thanks

Hi, my name is ***** ***** you for your question.
Is it wet with fuel or oil?
I would say either way if engine was running good when parked,,,no excessive oil burn,,no missing cylinders,no excessive blow by, you would be okay for two more years.
If it is fuel, I would put a set of injectors in it and run overhead.
If it's oil and you have no major oil usage no issue running for two years engine will keep on running,,worst case you would start using more oil,,as long as you keep oil level up you would have no issues.
Then I see no issue running a couple more years.
