2005 Sterling Tractor with Cat C13 Engine Vin# *****

Customer Question

2005 Sterling Tractor with Cat C13 Engine Vin# ***** showing “no eng” on dash. Turns over but does Does not run. Will run on either. Do not have power at ECM connector for Pin 70. Can you help me trouble shoot possible causes. Check wire from Battery
and Fuse in Battery. All OK. Assume a issue with Switch or Relay.

Thanks for asking your question. I will try and help you out.
Yes 70 is the key switch wire. You should also have unswitched power on pins 52 and 53.
You most likely have a blown ignition fuse, faulty ignition relay, or a ignition keyswitch problem.
Most often I find a fuse in either the fuse box blown or the battery box.

Check all fuses in both panels and battery bock. Check the relays and ignition switch switch could not find issue. Ended up running a new circuit and jumper from spare in fuse panel that was linked to the ignition switch.
