I have 2 active codes in my 2008 kw with a c13 cat. One is 84-14 & 524-9. When I get in a long hard pull it starts to buck. Is it related?

Hi. Thanks for asking your question and requesting me! I will try and help you out.
84-14 is defined as a Quick stop occurrence. This code occurs when a vehicle speed drops very fast. This can be caused by a vehicle speed signal problem.
524-9 is defined as Transmission Selected Gear : Abnormal Update Rate. This code comes form a J1939 signal problem. Most likely a vehicle speed signal.
These codes could indicate a vehicle speed problem. When these occur the engine may begin to buck and run rough. I would have the vehicle speed input form the trans looked at. Most likely a faulty vehicle speed sensor.
Please reply back if you need more help or have more questions. I am happy to assist.
