I've got an issue with a Cummins ISM. I have lost oil

Customer Question

Hello, i've got an issue with a Cummins ISM. I have lost oil pressure and just recently changed the oil. Oil level is good as well as all fluids. Engine does crank perfectly fine. I was driving on the interstate, "low oil pressure" light came on and engine shut off. What could be the main cause of this?

Hi I'm Wayne
I will help you with this
What you need to do is remove the
low oil pressure switch ,driver side of block
about in the middle , screw in a manual gauge
and verify oil pressure , if it low pressure
you may have had a piston cooler break,
