Have a rebuilt 18 speed an it makes agroweling noise when i.m in cruuse control between power an coast. Dave an the same noice when under power at ahigh speed (70+)

First, I would check the fluid to make sure it hasn't broken down. Those transmissions work with 50 weight gear oil to get rid of the growling. Try that first and if there is still growling, there could be a mesh problem in the gears or there could be a bearing going bad. If it was just rebuilt, most likely the wrong gear oil use used and it is getting too thin when hot and causing the growling sound.
