Hi there - I'm an ENT and happy to weigh in here...sorry to hear about that!

So the nasal obstruction and bad smells seem to be coming from just the RIGHT side of your nose? This is pretty suspicious for a chronic sinus infection there, probably with something like staph or pseudomonas (two common chronic sinus bacteria). Sometimes we see this in relation to a "fungus ball" in the sinuses, which generally needs to be cleared surgically for complete cure. Sometimes it's related to a chronically infected tooth root..

At home, I'd recommend doing some saline sinus irrigations 2-3 times a day, along with some fluticasone nasal spray. It would be great if a doctor could get a bacterial culture of some of the snot, and get a CT scan of your sinuses. I understand in Canada it can be hard to see an ENT, but your general doctor should be able to get some of this testing started for you to figure this out...
