the hole in her side with no washer clamp is how they first did it - but i begged them to fix it and then they added that plastic washer. When I kept begging for the leaking to be fixed they just pulled the tube out bedside and put like a plastic bag over it that had an adhesive attachment piece to collect the bile, i guess to let it heal?!? but how can it heal if it keeps collecting bile? Anyways, the vancomycin makes her very ill and what good is it anyway if this hole just keeps gushing bile? The hole was originally a peg that went right into the jejunum and was not leaking at all but did not work at all either, it seemed, because she kept vomiting bile - maybe the kinked up her intestines?. if it is green bile now coming out of that hole, it is coming from her jejunum? So this NEEDS to be repaired. But is it truly an infection and does she need to take the antibiotics? Or is that tissue sample just a false positive because it's intestinal fluid they are actually sampling?kind of asking the question is making me know the answer - "EVEN IF IT ISN'T AN INFECTION NOW, IT WILL BECOME A DEADLY ONE IN TIME SO THIS MESS MUST BE SURGICALLY REPAIRED." is my intuition correct on this? I cant understand why they are hesitating to surgically fix this, because it will definitely become a blood infection if they don't, correct? I guess that is my real questionthat lab result confirms this is fluid from the jejunum? it's not coming from the stomach, is it?

well if i understand the terminally correct. But the original i was told was a very short tube that went directly into the jejunum. One day it just fell out. I was told it went directly into a jejunum that was tacked up to her side so the tube could go directly in. When they replaced it and I was there when it was taken out, suddenly it was 20" long.the corrective surgery was a tube that went through the jejunum (i think) then into the stomach, then it traveled down to the jejunum. and we were surprised it was 20 inches long. So I think that bile gushing out maybe be directly from the jejunum not backup from the stomach. Clearly, it's a big mess. Does this crazy story sound aligned with the photos at all? Or could bile from below the jejunum back into the stomach and out through that hole?The guy that put in the 20" tube was a radiologist and not a surgeon. That's why I think, the long tube was just forced into the same hole somehow and further punctured the jejunum on it's way to the stomach. I dont think radiologist are supposed to actually do surgery, right? and a real surgery was what was required.real surgery was required if they were going to change this from directly into the jejunum to into the stomach then down to the jejunum, because someone would have had to sew up the old hole in her jejunum, correct? this is the craziest horrrible...shock and horror i am in the state of

Thank you, Doctor! So is the infection real and should vancomycin be nonstop until the repair is done? The vancomycin is making her really sick. But if something like this makes for a deadly infection, I guess it needs to continue. I just dont know if that result is normal for intestinal flora? I know Citrobacter friendii is intestinal flora. but is MRSA also normal for intestinal flora?

Ok thank you, doctor! I will have them do that. But you are saying that this MRSA is ALWAYS a real infection and is NOT normal intestinal flora?
