Give it another week. Yes your question is valid, like I said the infection can lead to inflamed Airways, and then it take extra time to settle , most of the time the infection lasts a week and then a person gets better . So there are no dangerous signs at the moment and in my opinion there is nothing to worry , so you can try the things mentioned and see if that helps you at all .
