VerifiedHi! It sounds like you are taking all the right steps to get some answers. Right now you must stay patient and NOT freak yourself out with the "what if" scenarios. The term "neurological" is very broad and generally refers to your nervous system - in this case, the brain,. as this is the organ being imaged. Double vision has a very long list of potential explanations. many of which are benign. Could you have a small mass compressing a portion of your visual tracts? Sure, but even in that case it would not necessarily be a life threatening malignancy. The causes can range from neuromuscular to endocrine, to infectious. I would need to spend some time obtaining your history and doing a physical exam before I could give you any input in regards ***** ***** cause of your symptoms. An MRI is a great starting point that will hopefully narrow down the differential diagnosis and provide you with some idea of what is happening to you. Best of luck!
