I have suffered with straining and hard stool for many years. I had laparoscopic gallbladder surgery last March. My normal bowel movements and normal movements returned. Was able to eat everything and I gained the weight I lost, altho Im not obese. Ive been stress eating a lot of junk the past weeks. Movements stayed the same except that a week ago Sunday I had a lot of stool alternating from hard to soft and a little diarrhea. Then I became constipated for several days I did manage a few pellet type hard stool. I have immediately switched back to the way I ate prior to surgery. 3 grams of fat, fresh fish, chicken, vegetables and no 2nd helpings and eating on a dessert plate. When I did finally go, stool was plentiful and normal. Since then like overnight, I am dealing with the combination stool every morning. If I try to have a movement later in the day even tho no urge, it is small very soft blobs. Ive never dealt with real soft stool like this, it seems also like this very soft stool is just sitting in my anus or colon. None of the movements are urgencies but I do have to push and strain a bit to get out this very soft stool. Please help. This is all so new to me.I have been drinking coffee with sugar and cream since surgery, wondering if I am having issues with that. I have had none today. Is it possible on an empty stomach with the bile going into the intestine the way it does to cause these soft stool as there is not much food to mux with it, Im barely eating. Thank you.
