For ENT / Pulmonologist: We are time JA users; great

For ENT / Pulmonologist:  We are long time JA users; great service.  Don't laugh when I say I'm a "generally healthy," in shape, 46 year old male (it really is true, in general).  Wife and I together many years, no kids or pets, great jobs, great house in a nice quiet area.  Exercise including a great home gym.  Low stress life relative to most.Mild rheumatoid arthritis, just a few swollen knuckles on each hand that don't affect my day to day (nor golf game).  Never sought diagnosis, treatment or meds, although my grandma and younger brother both have it a bit worse than I do.  Technically an auto-immune condition, perhaps from a permeable gut lining.  Nobody is positive.And I occasionally get an ulcer that heals mostly on its own (maybe this is tied to gut permeability and RA)...handful of times per year.5 weeks ago today, Covid hit me.  Beautiful morning, drinking coffee, talking to my wife.  And in 5 minutes, I went from 100% healthy...to terrified.  It's like a demon taking over your body...best I can describe is if you ever got a little too intoxicated, and went from feeling good to feeling bad, uneasy, just want it to stop.  A little sinus congestion went from head, to nose, throat, down into my chest and made a tight ball, all in 5 minutes.  Nothing has ever moved with that speed.Plenty of strange symptoms: hallucinations many times, ice pick through the side of the ribs pain (thankfully only twice), not tired but low energy...no interest in hard workouts.  Once I fell asleep on the couch, and work up breathing hard, and palms soaked with sweat...took about 10 minutes to control my breathing (maybe just a night terror?)   But I was still able to sleep fairly well, work productively from home all day, plan and cook dinner every night, and take a long brisk walk after dinner.My experience with Covid has been mild and manageable, but it has hung around so long (5 weeks).  Early on, I would have 2-5 day periods where I felt healthy, then it would re-attack in some way.  I never measured a fever, although I'm sure I had a low-grade a few times (hot/cold/sweaty)...perhaps more from a mild sinus or chest infection?The last 2 weeks have been primarily sinus, throat, and occasionally needing to cough up chest congestion...almost like my immune system has the virus under control, but my immune function is weakened, and having a hard time finishing off the sinus issues (and of course anything in the sinus, has the potential to move south towards the lungs, which is exactly what Covid tries to do).I've been on many supplements plus decongestant and expectorant for....weeks, just trying to get everything out, and get this finished off.   The weather is getting warm and sunny...and I'm ready to be healthy again.  I've been feeling relatively good, no infection, so no fever...little more energy each day.Today, I had a tiny bit more coughing, and coughing a little up.  Maybe a tiny bit wheezy-chest; chest a little tight or congested this morning.   Or maybe it's just the ulcer healing.. Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good.I eat my first meal around 1130-noon each day.  As I'm finishing that, I start spitting out BLOOD for about 20 minutes.  It wasn't coming from anywhere in my mouth (like bit cheek, roof of mouth, bleeding gum...none of that.)  It was from the throat, so either sinus, lung, or unlikely ulcer...although I would expect blood from an ulcer to travel south with gravity.I'm now thinking it was sinus/throat versus lung, because I didn't NEED to cough to produce more blood.  Coughing would produce it, but I could suck it out of the throat without coughing at all.It subsided in 20-25 minutes and disappeared.What I think happened, is that I've been taking both decongestant and expectorant close to max dose, every day for over 2 weeks.  I don't have much sinus congestion left, so it's starting to dry out the sinuses...and get kind of raw feeling.  And I did have a little extra coughing this morning.Through all of this, I've obviously been concerned with my lungs, especially when congestion was in the chest, but have never had an actual problem with my lungs (that I'm aware of).  Could have walking/viral pneumonia, but I think I would have days where I felt pretty bad, if that was the case.I feel pretty good.  Say 80-85% healthy and 80% of normal energy.But any thoughts or hypotheses on the blood today would be appreciated.Thanks.
