I am having intense pain where I had my surgery. I had a left side ingiunal hernia repair with mesh 2 months ago. I don’t feel like I should still be having this much pain. My pain subsided a little bit for a couple of weeks and then it came back very intense.

Hello there. Hope all ya well. Sorry to hear you’ve been in that much pain. I agree that your pain from surgery should be better by now. I do recommend you follow up with your surgeon and have them check the surgery out. A CT-scan would help to find out if there’s any problem.

I had a ct scan done and they said there was nothing out of the ordinary. They said there was some constipation present but I take linzess daily and I haven’t had any problems.

The body sometimes reacts to the mesh as a foreign body and causes intense inflammation. Unless you injured yourself again and that why the pain came back
