Questions about my brain mri results. DATE OF EXAM:DATE OF EXAM: 04/06/2022 EXAMINATION: MR Head without and with contrast CLINICAL INDICATION: Abnormal findings on diagnostic imaging, bilateral leg weakness, numbness and tingling. TECHNIQUE: A combination of FLAIR, T1-, T2-, gradient-echo, diffusion-, and postgadolinium (20 mL of Clariscan, with 0 mL discarded) T1-weighted images of the brain were obtained in multiple imaging planes. The contrast amount documented is the total amount given for all exams that were performed contemporaneously. COMPARISON: MRI head, 03/30/2021, Tucson Medical Center. FINDINGS: BRAIN PARENCHYMA: No significant interval change in 6 mm clinically enhancing focus in the left lateral frontal lobe juxtacortical region. There is again mild precontrast T1 hyperintensity, FLAIR hyperintensity and mild hyperintensity on T2-weighted images. No evidence of hemorrhage, mass, or acute infarction. Small developmental venous anomaly again seen in the left cerebellum. No other parenchymal abnormality. EXTRAAXIAL SPACES/VENTRICULAR SYSTEM: Mild enlargement of cerebellar sulci diffusely, reflecting volume loss, unchanged. Ventricles are normal in size and morphology. Mild prominence of the cerebral sulci diffusely, unchanged. No midline shift. OTHER: Mild mucosal thickening in bilateral maxillary sinuses with mucous retention cysts. Bilateral mastoid effusions. IMPRESSION: 1. No acute intracranial abnormality. 2. No significant interval change in nonspecific 6 mm precontrast T1 hyperintense mildly enhancing focus in the left lateral frontal lobe. Differential diagnosis remain similar to prior study, including vascular anomaly or low-grade neoplasm, given stability. Continued follow-up is recommended. 3. I was wondering what my symptoms could possibly mean. I'm aI was wondering what my symptoms could possibly mean. I'm a 26-year-old female in a fit condition. For the past 3 weeks, I've been having tingly sensations through my arms and feet. I've had an MRI that was clear and I also tested a few vitamin/mineral levels. Vit D. was 16 (deficient), B12 was 252 (lower end) and Magnesium 1,75. I've had a few more that didn't indicate a deficiency. I can feel the pulse in my feet and I'm worried that I'm not taking the right measures. Doctors told me to wait for a few more weeks and try supplementing and eating healthy. Ever since the sensations started I've been exercising regularly, eating very healthy (no sweets, carbs or processed foods). Two days before my symptoms started I had a really long night of binge drinking. Not sure if it could also be related to that. Neurologist did a few basic tests - reflexes just a bit on the brisk side. … read more
