For about a week now I have been dealing with some weirdness…

For about a week now I have been dealing with some weirdness from my right arm. I was using both arms to help myself off the toilet because it sits so low and I feel my arm move in a weird way. Since then my arm has been hurting and/or going numb when I sleep way more than it use to. I feel pain behind my shoulder blade when laying down but not enough to say it hurts a lot. Just enough to keep me from sleeping well at night. When I look at my arm it looks fine, but when I am up moving around it feels off. It feels like it is sitting in the wrong position. I get rotating my arm like a windmill thinking it might help alleviate the feeling but it is not a painful feeling so I do not know how to describe it. It's just weird. There's also more tingliness in my fingers than I get normally.

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you had the tingling? Have you used any medication for it?

No. I always get a tingling sensation when I sleep weird so I learned to sleep on my back to alleviate that. Since the small incident with lifting myself in the bathroom. It has been constant, but is bothersome at night when I try to sleep. I sleep propped up on pillows but now that has become painful enough to keep me from sleeping well

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about the tingling?

No. Back in 2000 I was told I had a pinched nerve in my back, but there was nothing the doctor would do about it because it only affected my right thigh which gets numb and has a burning sensation. He just told me not to put anything in my pants pocket

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

I do have diabetes
