JA: What are all the symptoms you're experiencing (e.g. loss of appetite, fever, rash)?
Customer: Just pain and swelling. Is the swelling normal? When i press in it leaves an indention that doesn't immediately go away
JA: Any recent injuries? How long have you been dealing with the swelling?
Customer: No recent injuries. The sunburn has been on the front of my lefs for about 48 hours now.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No.

Hi, this is Dr. Pennington.

Can you attach a picture of the sunburned area?

How long were you in the sun?

Do you take any medications?(some make you sun sensitive)

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
About 5 hours or so. No medication, but I am fair skinned.

Oh gosh, you did get a sunburn, but nothing to serious.

You may put some lotion or aloe lotion on it for relief.

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Is the swelling normal?

YOu may peel in a few days.

Important to use sunscreen in the future!

Yes, it will swell and burn, worse at night and in the shower.

How long for the swelling to go away? Its been about 48 hours.

5-6 days before the skin peels.

I am sorry. It does hurt a bit.

Aloe gel and cool compresses will help.
