I have chronic gas under my right side. How should I treat…

Customer Question
I have chronic gas...

I have chronic gas under my right side. How should I treat this gassy condition?

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

Yes, had a sonogram and another 55-minute test on right side. Symptoms are pain in gall bladder maybe? Dr. did not see stones. When I eat, digestion is painful. I take the tums-type meds (calcium tabs.) Can bran cereal or hard fiber affect my digestion? If I turn from one side to the other, It is very painful. Like a knife is being turned. Shocks my system. Help!

Doctor's Assistant: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?

I take Lisinopril for BP; 81 mg Aspirin; 2 500 mg calcium tabs and 100mg Sertraline.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

One 55-minute test showed spots on my pancreas, but no activity.

I am sorry you have gas

you may need to keep a food diary to see what foods worsen your gas

foods like sodas, gluten, white flour, pasta, bread, milk, processed foods can often produce more gas.

bran cereal have gluten.

you may need stronger stomach acid reducers like zantac and prilosec daily to help decrease stomach acid
