Dear,

Thanks for staying Online.

I am posting my answer below-

In medical terms - constipation is defined as, having a bowel movement less than three times per week.

The cause can be-lack of physical activity, problems with the colon and rectum like diverticulosis, tumors, colorectal stricture, irritable bowel syndrome, dehydration, not taking fiber in the diet.

Dulcolax contains Bisacodyl and it belongs to the class of medications called stimulant laxatives.

The usual dosage is 1 to 2 tablets (5 mg to 10 mg) taken by mouth, or 1 adult suppository (10 mg) inserted rectally.

As you said, that you are not getting bowel movements, with this dosage, So you should be further seen by a doctor.

You may be given Enema. By distending the rectum, all enemas (even the simplest type, the tap water enema) stimulate the colon to contract and eliminate stool.

Saline Enemas can also be helpful. Another way of Getting rid of this problem is Suppositories, these are also helpful.

Glycerol suppositories act as a 'stimulant' within the rectum, encouraging the passing of stools.

I would suggest, that you should see your doctor, for clinical evaluation and get it managed.

Hope this helped
