Hi

That's not all that low--why are you worried?

Ask Your Own Medical Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Cause I drink more than you said too

When was that 132 checked?

Ask Your Own Medical Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago

And what has your doctor said about your fluid consumption?

Ask Your Own Medical Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Nothing

And how much are you drinking now?

Ask Your Own Medical Question
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
3 cups off coffe and powerade

OK

Well again 132 isn't seriously low

So for now the powerade and the coffee is fine

Overall you can drink up to 60 oz a day of fluids without any harm

Oh ok so I shouldn’t worry

No--nothing at all to worry about

It’s just that I was in the hospital on a Saturday for my stomach and they kept me because my sodium was 126 but overnight with fluids it was back up to 136 but I had it restested 3 days later and it was 132 so he put me on 3 teaspoons of salt a day

Keep taking the salt for now but you'll be fine

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.
