Customer Question
My blood pressure is...

My blood pressure is running high about 165/94. I had emergency surgery four weeks ago and a stroke during recovery. Going to therapy and have follow up doctor appts as soon as they were available. What should I do?

Doctor's Assistant: When did the stroke begin? Have you used any medication for it?

I was in the hospital for four weeks and yes they did give me medication. But currently nothing for high blood pressure.

Doctor's Assistant: Have you used anything besides for this?

I never had high blood pressure until this surgery. And the medical team does NOT know what caused the stroke. On 3/20 I start wearing a health heart monitor.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Neurologist cleared me on 3/7.

Thank you for the input.
I am very sorry for your symptoms.
Your pressure is much higher than normal.
However, it is not in crisis level.
But you need to see doctor sooner.
If possible, I would advise to take an examination by your primary doctor tomorrow.
He can check the blood pressure to confirm the level & prescribe medicines to control it.
I hope this information will be helpful.
If you have any query, please feel free to ask.
Your satisfaction is my goal.
If you are happy with my answer please click on 5 star rating so that I can get the credit for helping you.
Wish you healthy life.
Regards.
