Otc medication

naproxen medication is an NSAID non steroidal anti-inflammatory which can upset the stomach and should never be taken on an empty stomach and can cause vomiting.

you need a stomach acid reducer like omeprazole (prilosec) and zantac (ranitidine) to help decrease stomach acid and help calm down your stomach inflammation.

you need to stop vomiting. stomach acid reducers can help with this.

prilosec 20mg is over the counter and zantac is over the counter as well.

Advice on Otc

multiple episodes of vomiting can cause stomach acid to burn and inflame the esophagus and vocal cords.

you need to decrease your stomach acid right away and use medications like carafate to help coat your esophagus and stomach to help with healing

you most likely need to be on stronger prescription stomach acid reducers like Nexium 40mg once or twice a day.

nexium is sold over the counter in 20mg pills.

Customer reply replied 5 months ago
I take nexium 40 mg in mouning and at night

Benefiber

you should also use maalox or mylanta or gavascon liquid during the day to decrease stomach acid.

and avoid spicy foods, black pepper, fried foods, tomato sauces, alcohol, sodas, oily foods, large meals which can cause worse stomach acid

you should do abdominal muscle exercises to help strengthen your GE junction muscles.

you may have to sleep with your head incline up to keep stomach acid down.

Customer reply replied 5 months ago
Gavascon keeps acid up high in stomach

you need to stop naproxen as well.

then take zantac once a day

and change your diet.

Just ensure

take zantac at noon and nexium morning and night

and you need testing to check for H Pylori bacteria in your stomach which can worsen stomach acid production.

Customer reply replied 5 months ago

ENT can look at your vocal cords and see if you still have stomach acid damage to your vocal cords.
