I have been diagnosed with the following. Could this be stomach cancer? The focal narrowing of the sigmoid colon depicted on the recent diagnostic
scan is not well manifested with either the repeat CT scan or emission imaging.
Of note, there is a segment of distal transverse colon which shows mild
conspicuous increased metabolism, likely physiologic as this region was normal
in appearance on the diagnostic scan from one week ago. Further evaluation with
direct visualization and colonoscopy recommended to evaluate both the distal
transverse and rectosigmoid colon.

Plus this was a lower GI study so no statement can be said about the stomach. that would need an upper GI series or endoscopy
