My dad is 72 years old and he is unable to pass gas but

Customer Question
Hi My dad is...

Hi My dad is 72 years old and he is unable to pass gas but whenever he sits up he is burping. He is also feeling a bit dizzy when he burps. His BP is 127/78 and pulse 75 while lying flat. He had a heart attack in 2011. I am worried if it is just gas or could it be something serious ?

Doctor's Assistant: Do you know if your family has a history of heart disease? In general, how would you describe your health lately?

He's generally in good health. Takes a walk daily. Has kept his weight in check, takes very little salt

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

He had a stent put in when he had the heart attack in 2011.
