Customer Question
My 91 year old...

My 91 year old husband who has always been so HEALTHY and STRONG has had a brain bleed caused by a fall. He had surgery, did exceptionally well in recovery. He did have a balance problem but after therapy was normal. He had carotid surgery last June, again recovering well. Since then he has had TIAs, is now very unstable requiring the use of a walker. He now has "episodes"(TIAs ??) which cause severe instability and severe weakness. He bounces back but seems to lose stamina with each episode.

Doctor's Assistant: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?

I accidentally sent the above. Yes, and he is now on Medicare Healthplan Hospice. His current medications are: Kepra (for seizures--had a seisure from the brain bleed which led to surgery to allow the blood to be removed); Dexamethazone, Digoxin, pluse some natural supplements.

Doctor's Assistant: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?

I believe I just answered the medications question--did I? there are no known allergic reactions to meds.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Only that he has been about the most robust and healthy one can be.

I am sorry about your husband.

I am sorry he has had such problems with blood clots and TIAs.

how can I help you today?

Customer reply replied 8 months ago
Can you recommend any natural, including homeopathic, treatment that might address his lack of balance which I understand to be a neurological problem. Also, help for the intensified balance problem when he experiences a less-than-a-second something (TIA?) that leaves him extremely weak and wobbly.
Customer reply replied 8 months ago
He sleeps more and more hours since this began and after what I term an episode his sleep time increases.
Doctor: Dr. David, Board Certified Physician replied 8 months ago

I am sorry he is having such weakness.

he is having injury of his brain due to his strokes and TIAs

most likely natural and homeopathic treatments will not help with his symptoms.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.
