Are you having any cramping and are you still having frequent bowel movements?

What prep were you given by prescription?

Ask Your Own Medical Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Not really cramping.. and still having bowel movements...I was prescribed PEG3350 and Electrolytes SOLN... a one gallon dose I took every 10 minutes until gone
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

I would start on the mag citrate because you want the bowels to secrete mostly clear fluid so that you have no complications whatsoever during the surgery and minimum risk of infections.

Just wondering if I can drink a bottle of magnesium citrate if the vowel movements aren’t clear yet? My procedure is at 6am tomorrow.
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

Yes you can, it would be safe and it would be advisable to do so.

Ok I have a bottle with 10 fl oz... is this the right amount? And should I do anything else?
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

If you had more of the electrolyte solution then I would tell you to drink more of that but the mag citrate bottle should be enough. You can safely finish 2 of those bottles.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.
