Hello! I've had a...

Hello! I've had a pulsation just below my sternum off and on since last night. Since it's new, I'm worried about AAA. Was reading an answer to someone else that discussed PVCs. I have had those for years, but this feels completely different and is in the area of the aorta. (stats: 41, male, 6'0, 200 lbs, no HTN but a family history, non-smoker) Thoughts?

Doctor's Assistant: What are all the symptoms you're experiencing (e.g. loss of appetite, fever, rash)?

None. Just the pulsating, often intense enough to make me pause. It's visible, palpable, not giving me pain but I definitely feel it. Directly below my sternum. Since last night. Also, no diet changes, added stress, or different routine. Only other health concern is some nasal congestion, which I assume to be unrelated.

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?

Since last night. And not really having pain. Just a very strong pulsating sensation (like when your heart is racing) that's irregular in pattern and occurrence.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Nothing beyond what I've already stated.

I switched because I received no answer, and he didn't seem to have fully read the original post (asking my age when I'd already given that). I'd just like to know what this sensation could be, besides a worst case scenario of AAA. Thank you!
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago
The fact that it came out of nowhere could be that it’s an irregular heart rate such as a PVC or atrial fibrillation.

Based on the location and the way you are describing the symptoms I don’t think but it’s a AAA.
Ask Your Own Medical Question
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago
Most AAA’s are asymptomatic and usually would be present with any sensation such as pulsating, you might feel a pain or pressure but that would be lower in the public or abdomen area.

Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago
Even though you’re young and likely healthy I think it would be a good idea to have an EKG done to see what the cost of this pulsating sensation is. The doctor should also check your blood pressure’s in both arms to see if there is a discrepancy on either side. If there is a discrepancy then they should be doing a CT angiogram in order to rule out and ascending aneurysm or a descending aneurysm.
