Thanks for all these additional information.

I understand your concern.

Well as you describe, Vitamin D deficiency may be associated with lower levels of HDL-cholesterol.

So you should start a calcium and Vitamin D supplement.

You should take some dietary modifications to increase your HDL levels which may include

Consume Extra virgin olive oil.
Follow a low-carb or ketogenic diet.
Exercise regularly.
Add coconut oil to your diet.
Stop smoking.
Lose weight.
Eat fatty fish often.

Take sun exposure in the early morning for 20-30 minutes.

Let me know if you have any further query so we can discuss it thoroughly in every aspect.

do you know of a good vitamin D out there as well as calcium.
Doctor: Dr.Anil, Doctor replied 7 months ago

There are various kinds of foods containing vitamin D such as fish (herring, mackerel, tuna, sardines, etc.), eggs, mushrooms, cod liver oil, fortified milk, fortified ice-cream, etc. By eating these foods high in vitamin D, one can raise the level of vitamin D in the blood.

1000- 2000 IU/day vitamin D3 cholecalciferol pills that are available over-the-counter at drug stores.

Hope this helps.
