Customer Question
Hi, i am cramping...

Hi, i am cramping really bad.. and when i sit down it hurts worse, i get a sharp pain...down there

Doctor's Assistant: How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse?

Nothing really makes it better, just as soon as i sit down it hurts. i guess when im asleep its okay. but, sometimes ill wake up to the pain. My stomach will kinda "bubble" and then ill start to cramp i try to keep my hand on my lower stomach to try to help, it kind of does...but not to much ive had this pain for almost a week.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

I have a mirena (i think thats how its spelled) im going on 5 years with my mirena, so i assumed thats what the pain is from...

Thank you

I am sorry you are having pain when you sit

do you have problems with constipation? hard stools? hemorrhoids? does it hurt in the anal area or vaginal area?

any burning when you urinate?

you could have an ovarian cyst cause pelvic pain. a lower abdominal ultrasound can check for ovarian cysts.

NSAIDs like ibuprofen can help ovarian cyst pains.

No, my poop is normal.. it’s my vaginal area that is hurting when I sit & cramps are the worse
Customer reply replied 6 months ago
38; no I does not burn when I pee
Customer reply replied 6 months ago
Also, almost every morning I’ve been waking up to me being very nauseous, or I feel like I’ll pass out.
Doctor: Dr. David, Board Certified Physician replied 6 months ago

I am sorry you are having these issues

how old are you?

when was your last gyn exam.

you need to see a gyn doctor, be checked for hernias or prolapse into the vagina.

have you had abdominal surgery before?

I am 20, my last visit was 6 months after I got my Mirena..which was October of 2013... and what is prolapse?? No I have not had any surgery, with anything.I’ve googled my symptoms & it always says Im Pregnant, but I assume that just to scare me, lol.
Customer reply replied 6 months ago
Im scared that when I go, they’ll say I am pregnant...or that I can’t have kids...
Doctor: Dr. David, Board Certified Physician replied 6 months ago

prolapse is when you have weakness around your vaginal walls and bowels push themselves into the vaginal wall lining causing pain and herniation of the bowels

this is very rare to occur in younger patients.

you need a pelvic ultrasound to look for ovarian cysts which can cause cramping pains in your lower pelvis

try some ibuprofen

you can do a home pregnancy tests. but if you have not had unprotected sex, you are not pregnant.

Doctor: Dr. David, Board Certified Physician replied 6 months ago

then you are not pregnant.

but you could have an ovarian cyst causing your pelvic pain

have you tried any ibuprofen (with food in your stomach or aleve to see if these help with your pelvic pains?
