A 1st degree AV block isn't anything dangerous. What it can do is elongate the QRS duration on an EKG but doesn't indicate anything serious as far as the condition of the heart.

WHAT ABOUT THESE HERE HR3
DQRS184MS,QT366S,OTC06MS,PAX47,QRSAX71,AX38
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

None of those are concerning in any way or indicate structural heart disease.

WOULD IT BE SAFE O HAVE BACK SURGERY
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

Absolutely.

Based on that EKG report there would be no reason for you to not have surgery.

Then why would say abnormal ECG
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

It is abnormal because you have a 1st degree AV block.

Just because an EKG shows an abnormality doesn't mean something is clinically wrong with your body.

For example, a person might get an xray of their chest to show serious disease and there might be some arthritis seen in the shoulder. Just because the xray is abnormal it doesn't mean anything serious is wrong and the person may not even have any pain in the shoulder. So it depends on whether we find something serious on an EKG. Such benign findings of an AV block aren't concerning.

t would be ok to send this ekg to the surgeon and he would still do the surgery
Doctor: Dr. Mo, Board Certified MD replied 7 months ago

I can't guarantee what the surgeon will do but that's a perfectly acceptable EKG for a preop clearance. No surgeon that I know would delay the surgery because of that EKG.
