They say that depression, anxiety...
They say that depression, anxiety, anger, and other deadly emotions shorten one's lifespan. However, my question is this: If one diets, exercises, and controls his/her weight everyday, will this downplay the negative effect that deadly emotions do, even if the individual has no job to look forward to and therefore feels like he/she is not serving a purpose or any family or friends to do activities with and is lonely as can be? Will going everyday to the gym to work out downplay all of this? Thank you.

But what's a counselor going to about the following situation:John Doe assaulted Joe Blow. Joe Blow fought back to defend himself. Joe Blow was wrongly and falsely accused of assault. Although he explained what happened at the time of his arrest and explains it every time to employers regarding his police record, he is not believed. Therefore, they don't hire him. Is a counselor going to have a "magical" solution to this problem? Thank you.
