what is your question about this

Ask Your Own Medical Question

What are the possible causes? How can I treat this - even it's causes by my meds? I've already tried all the meds my psychiatrist can think of that cause dry mouth (to counteract the hyper salivation and hopefully other symptoms).
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No, I don't want to talk by phone
Doctor: DrRussMD, Board Certified Physician replied 7 months ago

I did not suggest a phone call, and we do not diagnose or treat, but we do answer questions. I thin you are asking ...what next...your doctors are stumped...right?

34;just answer" did suggest a phone call, FYI. Yes, what next?
Doctor: DrRussMD, Board Certified Physician replied 7 months ago

OK

So, of course anxiety can do it.

Many other things can.

Your doctors need to take a serious look at all underlying possible causes.

Here is a basic list

  • Dentures
  • Acid reflux
  • Infection in your mouth or throat
  • Medications:Klonopin clozapine pilocarpine and carbidopa-levodopa
  • Pregnancy
  • Stomatitis

  • Allergies
  • Sinusitis
  • Enlarged adenoids
  • Tumors that affect your tongue or lip movement
  • ALS
  • Alzheimer's, Down's syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy
  • Mutiple sclerosis
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Parkinson's disease
  • Stroke

Arsenic toxicity is not far fetched, as many people are over exposed to the metal now days. So , just as an example.

Give this list to a good internal medicine doctor an your psychiatristl.

Arsenic toxicity causes many psychiatric problems as well.

Mercury exposure, toxicity and deranged mineral transport as a result is also prevalent.

OK, please don't forget a 5 rating.

Find me as needed.

Reply if needed.
