Latest research has indicated that higher initial dose followed by a lower maintenance dose should be used to correct and maintain normal vitamin D levels.
A typical schedule should be 50000 units every week for 3 months followed by 2000 International units everyday as maintenance therapy.
It has been shown that 6,00,000 over first three months is the minimum dose required to correct levels of 10 to 20.
Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
Do take a moment to honour my work and time by rating my answer hopefully 5 stars.
