Customer Question
Hi! I'm a 29...

Hi! I'm a 29 year old female and used to be really healthy. Surfed, hiked, and played soccer 4xs a week. In February I got sick though and have declined since. In February I was severely sick and hospitalized. I was very jaundiced and had metabolic acidosis. They realized my gallbladder was very inflamed and took it out. No stones, no sludge. I've still been sick since though, still growing very thin and it's been around 6 months since the surgery. When the gallbladder was inflamed my asts, alts, were very low (uncommon for gallbladder inflammation as usually they are elevated), high bilirubin, high albumin. Since the surgery, my asts and alts are still low, albumin high, protein in blood, low urine specific gravity still and lactic acid buildup in legs. I'm now to the point where I can't walk because my legs are too weak and sore, and I faint if I try to walk anywhere. I had a scope done, up and down, no evidence of Crohns or UC, but my S CEREVISIAE AB IGA was positive, stomach lining has chemical inflammation but no pylori. My anion gap is high and c02 in blood is low. I also had a bilirubin test that specified it's a liver problem, not Gilberts syndrome. Doctors don't have a clue what's doing this but I'm continuing to decline. Ive started having heart trouble and low blood pressure because of whatever is going on. One doctor said I don't fit the normal case at all. My uncle died of liver failure. We never knew why. Could they be missing a liver problem? Do you know what that positive S Cerevisiae ab IgA test could mean? My family is very worried as am I at this point. I'm a single parent of a 5 year old who really needs me to be there for him. I've seen so many doctors and no one knows how to help me.

Doctor's Assistant: Do you know if your family has a history of heart disease? In general, how would you describe your health lately?

My grandma had some sort of bypass and died of unknown acute pancreatitis issues.

Doctor's Assistant: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

I have had recurring ebv. It was positive again for current infection back in February, but no longer testing positive and the Lyme was treated.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.
