Customer Question

Hi. I experienced an unusual weakness and headache and just measured my blood pressure which is normally 120/80 and it's now 150/100. So, I googled it and landed here.
JA: Is the headache episodic or daily? And what about nausea?
Customer: No nausea. Never practically have a headache... but I have a terrible lifestyle - I sleep 5 hours tops, and smoke like... 10 cigs a day
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I had high cholesterol last year and never re-checked after. but I suspect it should be the same.

Thanks for all these additional information.

I understand your concern.

Well as you describe, possibly your headache can be associated such elevated blood pressure.

So you should hydrate yourself with plenty of fluids.

Limit your salt intake.

Also take OTC Aspirin.

You should do deep breathing exercises.

And take a proper sleep.

You should start a multivitamin supplement.

And eat small amounts of food at regular intervals.

Limit your smoking intake.

Monitor your blood pressure after 3 hours.

And if your blood pressure'll be higher than 170/100 mm Hg then visit emergency room.

Otherwise see your doctor tomorrow.
