Hello. I'm a 30yr old female with history of chronic uti's and had one couple weeks ago. Now my back is killing me, if I can I've been sleeping 18-19 hours a day, exhausted, new skin irritated rash appeared couple days ago. Is this all kidney related? About 4 years ago I was hospitalized for 4 days for kidney infection trying to turn sepsis .
JA: How long have you been dealing with the skin issue? Have you noticed any major changes in your overall skin or nails recently?
Customer: Rash appeares couple days ago and itchy skin
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

Hello I'm Dr Chip

Could you please post a photo of the rash on this page for me?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Im more worried about kidneys. It's everything I can do to keep the water i just drank down.
Expert:  Dr Chip (M.D.) replied 1 month ago.

Got those--thanks

But what did you mean by keeping water down?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Because of my past experience with being hospitalized from kidney infection trying to turn sepsis should these symptoms be something I should worry about? I'm prescribed ibuprofen 800mg daily and tramadol 50mg daily for a shattered elbow military related 10yrs back.

Where's the back pain located exactly and do you have a fever?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Today first day the nausea has started. I drink water and instantly feel need to throw up.
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Lower back pain both sides. No fever I've noticed yet. But it's everything I can do to stay awake completely wiped out.

OK

First off the rash is what's called keratosis pilaris--a kind of dry skin problem but not related to your kidneys

And with pain on both sides of your back and no fever I don't think this is a kidney infection

But the back pain may be more of a disk problem so I might consider an MRI of your lumbar spine
