Have you ever had anything like this before?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
No just started an hour ago while on the football field watching my kids. Thought was a muscle spasm. Put some tiger balm ointment now hoping it's just that. The fact that if was intensified by breathing scares me
Expert:  Dr Chip (M.D.) replied 1 month ago.

I understand

There are a couple of possibilities here besides a pulled muscle--

Possibly a pulmonary embolus from a deep venous thrombosis clot in a leg vein

Or a kidney stone

Since I can't examine you I have to say you need to get this checked out as soon as possible with an exam, chest x-ray, urinalysis and possibly a ct scan of the abdomen

Please let me know if you need any more information

Should I wait it out for tonight? Go to ER
Expert:  Dr Chip (M.D.) replied 1 month ago.

Not an ER situation for now but you should see your doctor tomorrow

Embolusbis a heart issue should I go see my cardiologist
Expert:  Dr Chip (M.D.) replied 1 month ago.

No a pulmonary embolus is not a cardiac problem--your regular doctor is fine to check this out
