Customer Question

My wife has had the following symptoms for the last 3 weeks: Bowel with mucous for a couple of weeks, which has resolved itself. stool now normal. low grade fever (101.5 F) and lower. Malaise, nausea w/o vomit. Blood test normal w/exception of elevated liver enzymes. Patient has had Colonoscopy and endoscopy, negative. Stomach upset after eating with acidic breath (smell like curdled milk) No past problems with any foods Etc. Normally very active but now sleeping or in bed most of the day. She feels bloated. No Drugs occasional wine. I am a DDS with limited current differential diagnosis, but it has crossed my mind that lyme disease od Hep C may be playing role. I'd appreciate your input. Don Ryan

I am sorry about your wife

she could have an H Pylori stomach bacterial infection causing worse stomach acid.

she may benefit from stomach acid reducers like prilosec or zantac

she could have had food poisoning before or a viral infection
