Please mention your age.

Any stressors of late? Have you been working out more vigorously recently ?

Any other medical issues you have?

Any drugs#/ supplements that you take? Including birth control

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I'm 24 and I did start working out about two weeks ago.no medical issues that I know about. I do take new diet pills. And no I don't use birth control
Expert:  Dr.Saleem replied 2 months ago.

Alright a few factors can contribute to irregular periods e.g recent increase in exercise duration / intensity, recent changes in weight ( loss or gain ) , recent lifestyle changes including diet pills .

So you need to find out which one of these factors is causing this.

If this doest help then other causes such as thyroid gand malfunctioning, hormonal imbalance or Polycystic ovarian syndrome should be ruled out.

Birth control pills can help make your periods regular.

I have another question. I was spoting like around the 26 of this month and I had sex the night before I continue to spot the next morning but I haven't had my full period
Expert:  Dr.Saleem replied 2 months ago.

Spotting ,the very next day after sex would be more linked to inner lining of vagina due to insufficient lubrication or an infection including chlamydia but is unlikely to be an implantation bleed. This implantation can take few days ( 3-7) after unprotected sex in your ovulation days normally. You may take a home pregnancy test just to be exactly sure on this though.

Hope it answered your query.

Well took home pregnancy test and came out negative and I still haven't gotten my period?

As i mentioned above you will need to rule out a few causes . You require ;

Complete hormonal profile

TSH, T3, T4

Ultrasound pelvis to see your ovaries and reproductive system.

Based on the findings ,appropriate treatment will be followed.

Medicine like clomid is very effective in making cycles regular and timely ovulation.

You can discuss these options with your GYN / OB to proceed further.

Best regards
