I had an epidural and the needle went too deep and pinch my nerve.
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: I had an epidural May 8th . The needle went too deep and pinched my nerve. I have been miserable for two months. will this go away or is it permanent?
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I have three herniated disc and have had back pain but never this feeling radiating down my butt and this from the needle>
JA: Have you had any recent injuries? What seems to make the pain better or worse?

Sorry to know that. Well it definitely is a pinched nerve but more likely a result of herniated disc impinging on the nerve rather then the needle causing any damage.

Its a persistent pressure on the nerve caused by herniated disc.

The likely nerve compressed is sciatic nerve that supplies the back of leg all the way from hips to whole leg.

I would be interested to know whether you have been taking any medications for this?

I took 2 hydro condone at difffrent DAY'S but don't like using it.Itake two Ibuprofen in the AM & 2 PM

Alright as its a nerve pain so you will require medicatiins that reduce nerve sensitivity e,g pregabalin, gabapentin or amitriptyline.

Simple pain relief is usually insufficient and these medicines have to be added for improvement.

For definitive cure neurosurgical consult may be sought.
