Do you feel anxious while driving ? Any palpitations felt while you get dizzy ? Any bad experiences in the past while driving ?

Customer: replied 13 days ago.
I feel anxious while driving because I am anticipating something bad happening. No palpitations felt when this happens. This spell that overtakes me while driving has been going on for some time; many years.

Any evaluation / tests done for this ? Like an EKG to assess the heart rhythm ? I would really like you to have your heart rhythm assessed with EKG, and preferably Holters monitoring. People with fainting or near fainting spells many a times get diagnosed with arrythmias. However if everything is alright with your heart then this could be linked with Anxiety disorder called situational anxiety. For this you will need to consult a psychiatrist. Its nothing to be embarrassed about or anything, anyone of us can have anxiety issues and its always advisable to seek help in this situation as it can be dangerous while you drive.

Could this be connected with my BP med? Benicar?
Expert:  Dr.Saleem replied 13 days ago.

No Benicar doest cause such effects and in your case its more linked with driving so thats why i would say its a SITUATIONAL thing, a situational anxiety
