JA: What are all the symptoms you're experiencing (e.g. loss of appetite, fever, rash)?
Customer: I'm a 33 year old male. History hypertension (but it's under control with 10mg lisinopril daily), generalized anxiety/depression/panic disorder. I went to PCP last Friday as a follow-up to an appt. I had earlier that week when my cat bit and punctured my left thigh. CPK 1914, Aldolase 20.7
JA: How long have you been dealing with this? Is there anything in particular that seems to make the symptoms better or worse?
Customer: From test results from last Friday, CPK = 1,914. Aldolase = 20.7. But C-reactive normal (< 0.40) and ESR normal (7). Lyme disease ruled out, as was thyroid
issue. I have had similar episodes like this in the past (same symptoms, although I never had a doctor check CPK and Aldolase). When I get these symptoms, I become hypersensitive to caffeine and alcohol and become much more anxious (but on the same set dose of my Sertraline and Wellbutrin).
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: 5 days before the blood work, I worked out (lifted) hard, lifting more weights than I should have, which caused pretty severe muscle pain in traps, shoulders, and especially my biceps. In addition, I had a deep tissue massage done on the evening before my Friday appt.
