Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

I am glad you are exercising and doing pilates

how old are you?

everyone's limits are different after spinal surgery

it sounds like you still have some back spine pain?

what are you able to do now in pilates?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I am 70. Pretty fit. 136 lbs. No medication cholesterol or blood pressure. No back pain .Nerve pain in my right leg. I AM able to do whatever my instructor asks. HE is concerned with how much I can turn my trunk.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

you can safely turn your trunk slowly and stretch

yoga can help you with twisting and back stretching positions.

pilates uses many yoga stretches as well.

taking it slow and stretching gentling everyday can help you improve your flexibility even after spine surgery
