I am an 83 year old in very good health, exercise in walking, shovelled snow during winter. I do have bit of diabetes but controls it with diet. Lately I have been experiencing my legs are not as strong as they used to be and it worries me as I usually do alot of gardening etc and feel if I do not know what is causing this and would like to know. Remember i am in good health.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: No just feel the legs weak
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: Well I did have wipple surgery about 11 years ago and came thro surgery very well. I am very thin tho!

Well i understand your concern. With ageing its quite natural especially in females as the estrogen levels decline , it makes the bones weaker.

This can lead to leg weakness. The same happens with the muscles.

Longstanding diabetes even if well controlled can lead to muscle weakness.

I would recommend you to take calcium and Vitamin D3 supplements for this.
