Customer Question

Daughter has fever since yesterday that stays around 38 to 39.11 at the moment. Tylenal doesn't seem to keep it down. Is is safe at this level? She has a terrible cough as well. Can't stop coughing. She is 65 lbs. and medically complicated. Should I get help soon?
JA: What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
Customer: No allergies, but is on Topiramate for seizures.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: She is blind, has a G-tube for feeding and is on dialysis, and non-verbal so can't tell me what all maybe going on. She had pnemonia with kidney failure last August.

fever of 39.11 is a bit too high

you should keep her temp below 38C

with her kidney history, ibuprofen may not be a good idea

how much tylenol are you giving her? she may need a higher dose.
