I don't have medical insurance and have extremely low funds

Customer Question

I don't have medical insurance and have extremely low funds for seeing a DR. Starting in August I began having to urinate every 2 1/2 to 3 hours including thru the nite. This is beyond just an enlarged prostate. Even after not drinking any liquids during night I still have the need to urinate. I am 59yrs old. I lost about 12 pounds within 2 months. I bought a ten parameter UA stick and have trace protein as the only abnormal finding.
JA: Have you seen a doctor about this yet? What medications are you taking?
Customer: No and none.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. I am trained medical technologist but I'm not working anymore. Urine is clear.

I am sorry you are urinating so frequently at night time

do you have slow urine stream at night time? this can be from enlarged prostate gland

you could also have overactive bladder muscles or spastic bladder muscles which can contract and cause more frequent urination at nigh time

there are prescription medications like hyoccyamine and vescicare which can help relax bladder muscle spasms

alcohol and caffeine can also irritate the bladder and cause more frequent urination at night time.
