On my last two trips to Fort Meyers, Florida, my ankles

Customer Question

On my last two trips to Fort Meyers, Florida, my ankles swelled up on about the second day and stayed swollen until I returned home to Illinois. What may be causing that, and how can I avoid it?
JA: Any recent injuries? How long have you been dealing with the swelling?
Customer: No injuries. They're only swollen when I'm there. It's very strange.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: No. My blood pressure is on the low end of normal, and I'm in very good physical shape. 44 years old, 5ft 7in, 140 pounds

eating out, more salt intake, drinking alcohol, heart weakness, lack of exercise can all cause swelling in your ankles

eating out at restaurants can add up to a lot of salt intake and cause fluid retention.
