Customer Question

I had a breast reduction on 11/23 and 1 breast seems to be healing well and the other has an area above the areola that will not heal. When I returned for my last checkup on 12/21, I was told to continue using Aquaphor on this area and cover with gauze when wearing a bra. When home I am told o go bra less to promote healing. It is now ten days later and there is still not much improvement in this area and I am concerned.

I am sorry your breast reductions surgery area on the breast is not healing.

you need to follow up with your surgeons to make sure you don't have an infection

you may benefit from seeing a wound care doctor

you may need a course of antibitoics if you have an infection.
