my husband had quadruple bypass surgery. second day in icu he was being fed and got choked, they put feeding tube in nose and he keeps failing swallow test. also has hospital delirum bad

it sounds like he is aspirating food badly into his lungs

he should not be fed at this point

and most likely will need a PEG tube, a temporary feeding tube placed into his stomach so food can be pumped into his stomach

do you think he would be willing to have one of these tubes put in so he can get nutrition into his stomach without eating and aspirating?
