Customer Question

JA: Hello. What seems to be the problem?
Customer: I recently had endoscopic carpal tunnel surgery and during the procedure I felt extreme pain. Why? I did not receive any further information at the hospital except that sometimes this happens. I have had this surgery before, on my other hand, and did not experience this pain.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? In general, how would you describe your health lately?
Customer: I am recovering from the carpal tunnel surgery well. My question is why did I experience SEVERE pain while awake during the surgery?
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
Customer: I am a diabetic, well controlled and am in good health.

Was the procedure done under a nerve block?

Was the pain during whole of the procedure or for some time in between for a transient duration?
