My daughter just has half of her throid and a lump removed.

Customer Question

My daughter just has half of her throid and a lump removed. Her health has not improved, red blood cells are an odd shape, very low in iron, swollen hands and feet a general tired most of the time. symptoms are very similar to thyroid problems still. They cannot seem to diagnose her? Any suggestions?
JA: How long have you had the lump? Is it hard or soft?
Customer: The lump was removed in August, was not cancerous.
JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?

her symptoms don't sound like thyroid problems.

what do you mean odd shaped red blood cells?

has she seen a hematologist? she may need a bone marrow biopsy to see the area where the red blood cells are made

is she low in iron? is she having a hard time absorbing iron in her diet?
